Nerium International, Direct Sales, Does It Really Work?

Network Marketing is something many people know little or nothing about but it is an amazing business model! My name is Justin Aragon and I knew very little about the industry until about a year ago when I was introduced to Nerium International! I did my research on network marketing/direct sales/relationship marketing and was very impressed with the industry. What really peaked my interest was that Nerium International was less than 2 years old and had made $100 Million in sales in their first year in business! Not to mention there was only 1 product (NeriumAD night cream $80), only sold in the United States, and future plans for global expansion and an international product line!

What I liked most about the business model is that it is based on relationships and sharing something you love with others! I personally do that daily on Facebook and social media websites but have never thought about the opportunity to make some extra income having fun! There is no doubt you refer friends and family to a restaurant where you had a great meal or to a movie you enjoyed. What about the time you referred a friend to a gym, a stylist, or even your favorite nail salon? Did they pay you for your advertisement of their business? Probably not. 

The direct sales industry is a $150B industry globally and nearly $30B with about 15.6M representatives in the U.S. and grew at a rate .7% faster than the national GDP. Direct selling, relationship marketing, friend to friend, neighbor to neighbor is based on relationships and trust, it’s a heart based business. 

There are hundreds of business leaders and icons like Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, and others that love this industry because it gives the average person the best chance of success in owning their own business. Typically they can start a business for a fraction of what it would cost to start a traditional business, or a franchise, and most companies in the industry have policies to take nearly all the risk out of their initial investment. 

Is it a fail proof business model? No, many people fail in direct sales. Why do they fail and do not have the success they were wanting? Direct sales takes persistent, consistent effort. It takes personal growth and development, it takes getting uncomfortable, and it takes work. Most people in the U.S. join a direct sales company from a job where they are told what to do, when to do it and how to do it. Direct sales is all about being an entrepreneur, working with a team, but most of the time on your own out there by yourself. No boss, no punching the clock, no staff meetings. So many people can’t make the adjustment but for those that do the rewards are greater than you will ever find in a typical job for most young people. Direct sales may or may not be for you but it is worth looking into!
